They've made a ton of updates from a couple years ago (delete and re-install if you haven't updated it in a long time). But it's now similar to Meet Mobile from Hytek (for those who are familiar with that from High School Swim or year round swim.) You can declare your swimmers from the app now for meets, see their events, and see their times and see your job shifts you are signed up for as well as a parent volunteer. (The only exceptions would be last minute changes to the heat sheet the day of, or manual changes to volunteer sign-ups). Also, if you get the paid subscription (free 7 day trial then $2.49 a month, and we only need it for June, or $9.99 for the year) you can see live updates of scores and times during the meet and see the entire meet, events and times.
To download the SwimTopia mobile app, which is the companion app for Meet Maestro (this is the new software we are using to score the event on our end, in place of Hytek Meet Manager, it is an extension of SwimTopia), go to your app store: iTunes App Store or Google Play. You can also scan the QR code from your phone, in attached photo, if you are on your laptop, and it will take you to the correct app store and app on your phone to download.
Once you’ve downloaded the free app, log in with your SwimTopia login information (the same login credentials you use for your team's website). If you don’t have a team login, use the option to “Continue as Guest.”
If you’d like to upgrade to Pro for live meet updates: click on an upcoming meet -- from there, you should see several buttons that you can tap to “Try Pro for Free” for a 7-day free trial. You must allow in-app purchases. If you’d like to receive upcoming swim alerts and live results notifications, make sure you have Favorite swimmers and your notifications are turned on. (It's super cool, you literally get push notfications on your phone to remind you of your swimmers' upcoming events during the meet, and then notifications when their times are updated as well.
The mobile app and subscriptions to the app can ONLY be managed through the Apple App Store, or the Google Play Store. Anyone who doesn’t have a SwimTopia username and password in your team account should use the “Continue as Guest” option to follow meets and results (that includes Meet Maestro-only account users, grandparents, other family, and friends).
